BRTW presents Summoned at Nora’s Playhouse

Black Revolutionary Theatre Workshop, LLC is proud to present Summoned by BRTW ensemble member, Sheyenne Javonne Brown.

A modern adaptation of the timeless myth of Orpheus and Eurydice set against the Black Live’s Matter movement in NYC, Summoned explores two lovers’ journey into political turmoil. Playwright, Sheyenne Javonne Brown, crafts a tale of two lovers struggling to find one another even as they find themselves worlds apart.

Previously performed at The Brooklyn Commons in November, 2016 to a full and encouraging house, we are looking forward to sharing this beautiful piece again with a new audience.
